ICO is the UK’s independent authority set up to uphold information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals.

Companies accredited with ICO assure customers data which is in electronic form with them is used safely and is secured. The main function of ICO is to increase the confidence that the UK public has in organisations that process personal data and those which are responsible for making public information available.
